Assistant Principal

Dr. Lamenda Hase, will be joining Bayou View Elementary School as the new assistant principal. Dr. Hase brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for education that will greatly benefit BVE.

In her previous role as assistant principal at Ocean Springs High School, Dr. Hase has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to academic excellence. She played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the International Baccalaureate Program, leading curriculum planning and development efforts while achieving remarkable results. Under her guidance, the program experienced a remarkable 165% growth while maintaining an impressive 90% diploma recipient rate.

Before her administrative role, Dr. Hase spent 14 years in the classroom, where she honed her skills in instructional design and differentiated instruction. Her dedication to tailoring instructional content to diverse learning styles and levels reflects her unwavering commitment to student success. Moreover, she was selected as Ocean Springs School District's Teacher of the year in 2018.

Dr. Hase's background in education, coupled with her strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills, make her an invaluable addition to our team. I have no doubt that her vision for creating a supportive learning environment aligns perfectly with Bayou View Elementary School’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.
